You'll usually need to register if any of these describe your business. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll check.

  • Your sales have grown

Your turnover is above the limit the government sets for your state and type of supply.

  • You sell to other states

You supply goods from one state to buyers in another.

  • You sell online

You sell through e-commerce marketplaces that collect tax at source.

  • You trade occasionally in another state

You have no fixed place of business there but supply goods or services, such as at exhibitions.

  • You want to register anyway

Registering voluntarily lets you claim input tax credit and work with larger, GST-registered buyers.
